Our Third Black President

I often think about the fact that after two terms of Barack Obama, a black man of high moral character, America elected Donald Trump- a white man who embodies all of the negative stereotypes of African Americans. Trump is lazy, dishonest, sexually aggressive, inclined to criminality, and unintelligent. He is the coon that some of his supporters thought Obama was. That makes me wonder if the steryotypes that whites created about blacks were justification for exploitation, but also projections of their deepest fears about themselves.
