The Rona Diaries: Week 6
Candace:
I exist in a strange state in between laziness and restlessness. I miss the calming effect of being able to experience green spaces, especially in the Spring time.
Roberto drove me to work this week so that I could pick up a folder of essays that I needed, and I convinced him to stop at the The Conservatory Garden on the way back uptown. He sat in the car as I spent ten minutes walking around the garden. With the exception of a few joggers, it was almost empty allowing me to appreciate it as I never have.
Chloe:
During this pandemic I'm grateful that I have a nice home to stay in and food to eat. There are kids that rely on school food as their regular food source, but since schools are closed they won't have that much food to eat everyday. Im also grateful for the fact that my family and I are safe and healthy. I have a friend whose dad has the virus, so she might have it too and I worry for her and her younger siblings. Hopefully this will all be over soon and our lives can go back to normal. I fear for my state the most because we have the most reported cases. A few numbers went down, which is good, but hopefully stores start to open up again like they're doing in other states.
